SILLON chair

Designed by Guillaume Delvigne the SILLON dining chair is typical of how rattan furniture is usually assembled. Reminding us of the curved and parallel little furrows ("sillon" in French) of a zen garden, the name of this chair came naturally.

"I wanted to play with the flexibility of rattan in the arrangement of thin rattan canes following the outlines of the frame, creating a very special pattern " Guillaume Delvigne

"Guillaume Delvigne's work immediately appealed to us because we felt a desire to build furniture out of rattan and nothing but rattan. Guillaume used all the by-products made from rattan cane: braided rattan core like the baskets, marquetry for flat surfaces reminiscent of floor mats, etc. The in-depth study of traditional designs allowed him to create solid structures with innovative shapes from the start.
